Nine Patch is a very popular quilt block. The simple basic design can make any number of overall quilt designs. Alternated with other blocks, like Basic Hourglass, it makes a fabulous scrap quilt. The first example here shows just two fabrics. The centre block can be made with a third fabric of similar value. Assembling the nine squares works for EVERY block that is composed of 9 equal squares. |
