Wonky Star Baby Quilt
For a very special baby
I was going to wait for a longer Post/newsletter about all the quilts I’ve done this year but I just finished this one small quilt last night and feel all bubbly about it! It’s a baby quilt for the grandchild of a close friend and my first Wonky Star scrap quilt. I kept the quilting simple because scrap quilts have the habit of being really funky around the shapes and busy in terms of colors so you lose something either in the block or the quilting when you get really dense with the stitches. So…
Welcome to the world Baby Brian Ignatius O’Donovan, Jr.!

I will post the full 2026 Quilt Year Extravaganza when I get back from the US in late September. Some of these quilts are “surprises” and all the recipients will have gotten their quilts on my visit late this summer. Stay tuned for the World Premiere big reveal! Am I making too much of this? Maybe… but I have never made so many quilts in one year before. More quilts than I’ve made over the past 10 years! It’s hard to believe… but that’s what happens when you retire and realize this is your chance to do all those things you love but kept putting them off for 50 YEARS.
Hugs!
